KiAC Round Table to Involve Iryna Sergienko, President of Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association

On December 18, Kyiv iGaming Affiliate Conference will feature a round table titled “Transformation of the gambling market in Ukraine” discussing the core steps in creating world-class conditions for Ukrainian gambling businesses. It will involve Iryna Sergienko, President of the Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association (UGIA).

Iryna Sergienko is a part of the narrow group of gambling experts who have been extensively negotiating with the Government of Ukraine and supporting legalization in the mass media. She is a managing partner at Sports & Gaming Lawyers, earlier known as Fomin, Sergienko and partners.

Iryna Sergienko has been the head of UGIA, a public organization uniting gaming and gambling experts, since 2016. Member of the Committee on Ethics and Fair Play of Ukrainian Football Federation. She has represented Favorit and Parimatch in the dialog with the authorities concerning betting legalization in Ukraine on behalf of the All-Ukrainian Union of Betting Development.

The expert has been a Member at the Interdepartmental working group at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for reviewing and solving problem matters related to gambling business and lotteries, as well as a Chairwoman at the Coordination Council for the Socially Responsible Legalization of Casinos, and a consultant of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism (from 2014 till 2019).

Iryna is a participant at many international gambling conferences and a co-author of the publication “Legal regulation of gambling business. European experience. Practices in post-soviet countries. Perspectives for Ukraine”.

Ms. Sergienko will apply her vast experience in representing businesses in the dialog with the authorities during the round table at KiAC. She will examine previous legalization attempts and provide tips on avoiding potential mistakes.
